An agent can prepare a message while a recipient has access and send it after revocation. Validating only when documents are retrieved leaves an important window unprotected.
The design to commission
Map documents, versions, recipients and delivery channels. Authorization must be checked under the system policy before producing an external effect. Models should not interpret previous access as permanent permission. Separate internal reading, draft preparation and sharing because they have different consequences. The quote should explain current permission checks and source unavailability handling. Deterministic integration can perform checks even when AI drafts text. Do not send whole documents to a model service when the task only needs an authorized title. Define treatment of public links, copied attachments and additional recipients. Revoking repository access does not necessarily recover a previously delivered file; owners need to understand that limit before automating the channel. Confirm that the actual sender enforces the check rather than relying solely on an instruction in the agent's conversational prompt.
Supplier criteria
- Verify current permissions for documents and recipients.
- Apply sharing controls to additional recipients too.
- Block dispatch when authorization cannot be confirmed.
Acceptance with an exception
In hypothetical testing, access is revoked after drafting but before dispatch. Execution should stop with an explanation for review rather than attach the content to an alternative message.
